Too many bright colors and different objects make for a confusing composition. Better to have a single subject, e.g. the Victrola and a simple background.

I love the old Victrola! It's perfect for this challenge. I also like the decision to put it in a modern setting. However, placing the Victrola on a chair just doesn't work for me.

The contrast of old and new, that is emphasized with the difference between the vibrant modern colored items, and the staid, old, black Victrola is very effective. I do like your overall idea, and with a little different arrangement, this would probably have been one of my favorites.

Great subject. Not sure I am a fan of the lamp shade which seems to be overly bright and also looks a little disproportionate.

The bright colors overwhelm the vintage character of the record player.

guess I should have added this to other info. Neat and AC: taken in a boutique store, and they did not want me moving things around.

I'm wondering if this is at a museum or something?? If it's not and it belongs to you, why not just photograph the player in amazing light, and then process it in vintage tones. Seems kind of a clumsy composition otherwise.

The colours are vibrant and is very interesting as a whole, however there it just too much going on here, the hanging on the wall is so strong and colourful it is distracting. I am not sure what lighting was used but maybe if the lamp was the only lighting or main lighting this would have drawn focus to certain elements better.
