I like the static reflection and the movement blur in the actual hand - not sure how this is achieved but it's effective. In my favourites.

The movement of the hand and strings really conjures up the twangy sound of the guitar. The rotation and cropping really work.

You could be right. Maybe I should have changed the shutter speed more.

Very nice - definitely evokes the sound of the guitar. Personally, I'd prefer a slightly faster shutter speed for a little more hand definition, but still retaining some motion blur.

I'm really pleased you like the effect I was trying to create.

I like the composition and it's certainly on theme. Good choice of shutter speed; the vibration of the strings is effective.

My cable release has been broken for some time so I have to rely on my self timer. Judging exactly when the shutter will fire is therefore a bit tricky and there were several failed attempts at timing the hand movement in the 1/13th sec the shutter was open. I cloned the static hand reflection from one of these failed attempts on to the main photo as I liked the look of the reflection and didn't like the large featureless brown area top right of the photo.

They say the hand is quicker than the eye, but in this case it seems the hand is quicker than it's reflection...how did this happen?
