thanks for taking time to comment and vote.
patty... 'easy to cook' ... yes. cut in half??? are you serious? almost cut my finger off. wound up cutting into four pieces (the green one, not my finger). (could have used an electric knife or chain saw). oven cooked at 425 with lots of butter, a bit of salt and pepper, and a tablespoon of raw sugar. it was great.

I like the colours, lighting and textures, and the odd combination of sandwich and squash seems to work as well. I think the composition could have been a bit tighter.

Think you should have found a 3rd squash and focused on that.

I like the lighting and while I'm not wild about the composition, it works here somehow. Looks very appetizing!

Like the color and contrast in the bread and background; has almost an 'Old Masters' feel. But I didn't recognize bread as a sandwich at first. Microwave the squash 8-12 minutes, turning over after five, but first puncture several times with a fork. (That's important, or they might explode.)

I do wish you had included an S in your title. Squash are easy to cook - cut in half, remove pips and bake in oven or place in microwave - add a blob of butter and salt and pepper - delish :)

My main issue is the lighting. First, the hot spot from glare in the upper left corner is very distracting. Second, the spot lighting effect centered on the sandwich wrapper, which is an odd thing to emphasize. The light should emphasize the subject.
