1/160s, f4, ISO 100, 35mm, Normal Program, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: Crop, Levels, some color adjustments, and a resize.       Extra Info: Stumbled upon this on a hike. It's a 19th century structure, almost completely original, on the original site, and still functions as part of the park's educational program. Did the best I could to minimize the bright sky's impact. Wife and daughter disagreed about waiting 4 hours in the cold for better light.

Woo-hoo! My first top ten! Thanks for the votes, and the comments. I was really unhappy with this photo until I did the wide angle crop. There wasn't much color to begin with, and I brought out as much as I could without making it look cartoonish. Mainly I wanted to get the moss on the roof stand out. This was a tough challenge...

NIce photo, maybe a closer crop and a little vignetting would improve the light effect. Good luck!

Oh I remember these well as we have them in our area too. You did a nice job capturing this one. It would make a really nice photo for a den. In my TT~!

Great find, nice capture. The muted tones and low contrast work really well. Whoever did the shakes on that roof did it much too evenly, almost spoils the look. TT

Nicely captured. That structure probably has a lot of stories to tell. Thanks for showing it. In my TT.

Good traditional capture which I think would have been improved with some straightening althought there is a lot of lines to take into account for the best effect. Good Luck, TT.

Great shot I like the colour and the sharpness - and possibly the only one on topic.
I was stumped to find anything similar in time.

That`s really a beautiful pic. After your family waiting so long in the coldness your pic deserves to be in my TT

    Good example of traditional construction.
The picture does seem rather bland. I don't think I would have done any better though.
