    This must be a self-portrait or a close family member or friend. Wonderfully rich and compelling. I only wish that lamp had been cloned out of existence or moved for the shot. (I wondered the same about the keyboard but my sense is that it is oddly complimentary for reasons not obvious to me.) All the same I think this is an intimately personal and beautiful image.

    thanks all, you can just see the monitor behind his head, when the input from the books go into the head, the output will be printed and seen on the monitor :)

    This is a fine study of contrasts--old and new. Expressions in profile are difficult to capture, but this nails the concentration on the subject's face beautifully. My TT
