Ah! Thanks for the clarification. I haven't seen the film, so didn't make the connection between the song title and the boat. It's an excellent shot!

I saw it in your old cottage shot and here it is again. You have at times a photographic style worthy of some great contemporary Canadian painters -- Ken Danby, Alex Colville, Christopher Pratt (I found Old Cottage a little cluttered but this is much cleaner, and more "pure"). Those artists would take a photograph like this, paint it and then sell the canvass for $500,000. or so. But I find the similarity in artistic styles uncanny here.

Thanks for the nice comments!. For those, who have not seen the film High Society I can tell that the couple(Grace Kelly and Bing Crosby) were sailing with a sail boat named True Love.

This is my idea of a good photograph - nicely composed with great colours, detail and sharpness. The problem is that I can't really see how it fits the song title. Is her love true because she's tagging along with him while he ignores her? Or is it his love for sailing that is true?

Nice work on this. I know how difficult it is to get a good framing of a boat moving across the water as I've taken plenty of photos of the subject myself. You have a good composition and exposure here. It fits the song title in my mind.

Thanks Jade O for your comment. I`m sorry she couldn´t pose for the pic. The yong couple was a bit in hurry with raising the sails and manipulating the boat in the narrow fairway between the small islands in southwest Finlands archipelago.

I really like this image excepting her posture which seems unfortunately screened; I can imagine what she is doing but it looks like she is doing something else. Because of that, for me, she really distracts from whatever else this image is about.
