Monet Colour       ©2009 mbbin2
Panasonic DMC-G1       13th place, 59 points
1/2s, f22, ISO 400, ?, Aperture Priority, Spot, no flash

Post-Processing: Converted from rw2 in CS4.       Extra Info: Trying a process described by Bryan F. Petersen where you deliberately move the camera while shooting in the shade at f22. Not as easy as you think. Many deletes while trying to get what I wanted.

This really did look Monet to me and the technical competence alone could have pushed it in the top ten. A fine effort all the same and I'm very glad you entered this one.

Maybe the pic is not so eye-catching as others in the challenge - but you really, really have got the "look" of a Monet painting!! very creative technique, I want to play with that :-)
TT for sure, maybe not so high as others (although, If I could, I would give a lot of "ties" this time :-) but I also give you an extra applause for your creativity. Thanks for sharing this, well done!!

It was worth persevering. I like the soft feel of both the overall image and the colours. Very well done.

I like this effect. Well done, and I'm sure it's harder to do than I would think. Everything worthwhile always seems to be.

Clever. Gives a very impressionist feel. Like it.

Monet would be proud. I hope this "out of the box" thinking serves you well, it has gained a spot on my T5. Well done!

The technique appears to work well here. I think Monet has a little more in composition though; wish you had more garden or vista in the image.
