And I thought this was neon lighting from the Triple Tasty Freeze! I agree, LaRee, that playing with lights like this is fun and wackily addictive. I don't think abstracts did as well in this challenge probably because the voters can't see how much fun we're having!!! I'll post some of mine in Outtakes if you promise to post some of yours! O.k. Even if you don't post some of yours! But next time I want to try your technique of moving the camera. Seems like it would be fun too!

LOL! I can't seem to take a photo for the panachallenge any more. Oh well, I still have lots of fun with my camera. Thanks Rafael and all of you for the comments.

Oh well. I still like it even though most did not.

Mmmh...Don't understand if I like or not this image...
...Yes I like it!
What i love here is the simplicity...

Hmm. Seems a few had a similar idea. Though this looks like a moving camera rather than moving lights. I like it, always fun to try stuff and you sometimes come away with appealing results.

EDIT: As I saved the comment, I though how it looked like smoke/steam rising, and thought how for fun it might be tempting to clone in three cups. Not for the challenge, like it just fine, just as an exercise in playing around later.

To answer what this is...it is 3 of my garden night globes lined up. I have been thinking of photographing them at night for a long time. They are solar lights that light up and change color at night. The challenge was the perfect push I needed to actually get out there and try. But I wasn't having success getting the blend of colors I wanted with a tripod mounted shot. Then I remembered a friend that had a series going of shots from around a campfire where he danced around with the camera moving freely. I gave it a try and it was FUN! I have all kinds of variations that I took this night. I had a great time and since I don't need to set up a tripod I am sure to give it a go again sometime.

I think I see another shot using this idea!
