Congratulations Billy, though I nagged a little bit, it still is a beautiful picture and a very deserved T5! I think the angel just looks too much like my former landlady - especially with this gesture... "JUST ONCE AGAIN AND YOU ... ARE OUTTA HERE!" ;-) :-D

    Ufff...I really prefer this one....
I think It's more spooky...I see a menace in this angel...
Bravo!

Many, many thanks again to all of your for such nice comments, I'm veeeeery happy you liked so much my two pics, thanks!!! :-) :-) :-)

The two pics are taken at the graveyard of AvilÚs, a close city to mine; I myself was astonished when I found this graveyard so close, I did a google research trying to find a little local graveyard in my region with some statues, croses and the like, and when I saw this one, I inmediately knew this was the place for my pics... glad you liked them :-)
The PP is very strong on this one because just behind the grave is the church... and it's painted in an awful colour :-P I'm very happy with the result considering that :-D
I thought of going there by night, but the graveyard closes early in the evening... and, after taking the pics in the morning, I've decided that I DON'T want to visit this graveyard by night LOL!
Franz, yes, I thought of taking this from a lower point of view, but then the grave looses his aspect (it's really a huge one) and the angel seems to be looking at the sky... much more spooky when it looks at me directly :-D
Hope I'll post some outtakes later for you to appreciate the rest of the graveyard... brrrrrrr!!!

Very good shot; the pp works well. Graves don't spook me personally but I can see how this would give a spooky feeling to many especially with the expression on the angels face! It's in my tt.

You've done an amazing job of lighting the figure, and bringing out the detail in the carving. It must be eerie to see at night.

Nicely composed, very good PP treatment. The extra contrast helps to emphasize all that rich detail.
Not the most spooky shot of them all, but a beautiful one.

Edit: I wonder what it would look like if you had lowered your point of view? But crawling on the floor of a graveyard could easily cause a stir. Other visitors could feel annoyed. I hate those situations...

Viewing this on mobile, not sure if it is the same on a pc. But this should be in my faves. Good luck!

As an image I like this a lot. Great post processing. It isn't spooky to me. The face on the statue is not menacing or scary. The post processing is what gives this a dark feel.

Some nice graves shots. This also works very well. What an odd and interesting ornament to put on a grave. Certainly not one I would choose. The very dark vignette concentrates our attention on the grave and the odd angel and perhaps on the psychology or ornaments for death.

I wanted to rate this lower for the title and higher for the extra info. but in the end I called it a draw. In my top 5. Nicely framed, captured and with effective use of PP. Nice interpretation of an original sculpture.

I am having trouble seeing this as spooky, although it is extremely effective. I like your treatment of the scene and the b&w interpretation. Very nice contrast and tone. I suppose that 'graveyard' is automatically spooky, so this one gets in my TT.

right, amazing monument. not familiar with 'dragan' effect but nicely done. face almost looks cloned on from real person. high in my picks. good luck, el
