WOW! This isn't just a beautiful bird shot, the bird is also acting funny!
A few weeks ago I searched through all my bird shots and realized, that not even one of them showed a reflection in the birds eyes. :-( But I think this reflection is a central aspect of a good bird picture. And your shot has it all. The reflection, great sharpness, perfect background and it makes me smile.
Perfectly done and a real winner! Good luck!!!

Thanks for the nice comments. The camera was Canon 450D with lens Canon EF-S 55-250 1:4-5,6. So the aperture was quite open and did not need need to soften the tail in PP

Would have wanted a more gradual softening of DOF to the tail. But it does work of putting the focus on the bird's head and the spoon.

Normally I prefer natural wildlife in a more natural setting but the unique pose and setting and fine compositional elements set this one apart for me and in my top ten. [Edit] The eye reflection is a big boost to this one and in a strong field, I have voted this no. 8.
