Thanks for commenting everyone. :) I was thinking of this meat cleaver when I thought up the kitchen theme. I would have rather had a warmly colored antique feeling shot, but my kitchen does not make a good background for photos.

Franz07 - In the GIMP, I made a duplicate layer and ran the auto white balance filter. I then adjusted the opacity to reduce the effect.

    ecks! frightening! :-)
In fact, for me the pic calls more for spooky/terror movie than for kitchen... brrr, dangerous weapon :-s
Theme apart, the image is superb, very nicely lighted (great flash control :-) and perfectly sharp. Well done!!

And I thought the 'Spooky' challenge was over a few months ago? LOL! This is really well taken! But not much in a Kitchen context. Still gets high in my tt

Wow, why didn't I have this idea - what means that I love it!
Yuck! This blade is really awful! LOL!!!
I would like you to explain the "duplicate layer" thing, that I did not understand. But it looks really nice! I hope you didn't hurt yourself for this shot. Your models forefinger looks really bad... ;-)

Very well composed and executed low key.
Highlights on the blade are very well controlled.
In my TT.
Good luck!
