Congratulations Billy - well deserved. I did not know your lovely model was your niece - a princess no less I hear!

Now what is this 'PP wizardry' you mention? LOL

Congrats on another top ten. I have a theory that more complex images rank lower but this was a fine effort worthy of the result.

Hello again dear friends, I'm particularly happy you liked this one so much, it was an idea "on the fly", thanks to my niece :-)
- Jade, Elliot: you are totally right, the pic has some defects, being the cup the greater one, as it's cut on the bottom; I didn't had my tripod, so had to lay the camera on the bar and had no left space to get the whole cup in the pic. Finally the surprisingly interesting colour combination decided me to enter the pic.
(almost forgot, Jade: yes, the expression is a bit posed in this pic, but my niece had almost that expression when adding sugar to the first cup of coffee, this one is the third, so decided to reproduce that ;-)
- Rino: I'm more than happy being twice in your TT, many thanks!! :-)
- Lo, Una: also happy you liked the pic :-) the colours are really eyecatching, that's what I liked most in the pic
- Alberto: ciao amigo!! yes, it's me, and she's the little princess ;-) happy you liked it!!!
- Michael: wow!!!! being yor top pick is really an honour given the such nice competition... many thanks!!! and yes, it's me :-) also another honour to share your bet with Franz :-D
- Franz: halloooo!! :-D yes, nice eye, she's my niece. So I spotted you also? cool!! :-)
Happy you liked the colours so much, that's also what I like more.
And yes!! I noticed "La Estrella" :-D in fact I tried to clone that out in order to not saying "Spain" so clearly, but the result was not good at all and spoiled a bit the colour combination, so decided to leave it as is... my PP wizardry wasn't useful this time ;-)

Nice and simple, yet somehow eyecatching. In my TT.

Mhhhh...She is the beautiful little princess...
:-p Amigo!...Great composition and interesting perspective!
...It's a pity that we can see only a little bit of sugar drop!
...however a nice work!

My #1. The human element wins it for me. A special moment beautifully conveyed. Franz or Billy maybe (as a compliment).

cute shot. framing it a bit different to show the whole cup and maybe the coffee in it might boost the appeal a bit. but overall, good composition with great color and lighting. el

I love the concentration and the warmth of the vibrant colours. Nice perspective too

Hi Billy - LOL!!! What did you think? That we could not recognize your niece?! Ha ha ha! I'm happy I caught you too - at least this time!
Your picture is beautiful. The color composition is extremely nice. I love how the green background surrounds her fingers. Great sharpness on the cup. And she looks really busy and concentrated, what adds very much to the picture.
I wonder if Jade will criticize the polish of her nails... ;-) but I like them very much! (sorry Jade, I couldn't resist...)
"la estrella - tostadores deste 18xx" - I beg you didn't even notice this!? Did you?
It's all about the colors for me this time. Really very beautiful!

The partly hidden face, the off camera hand, the red thing in the background, all tell me I shouldn't like this one as much as I do. The lighting and colours somehow combine beautifully and the expression is perfect (posed?). That coffee cup though is off angle and "floating" (not grounded by anything I can see.) Those two elements hurt an otherwise surprisingly good photograph. This image illustrates how well a good photographer can do in making an image exceptional that lesser photographers would simply make banal.
