Post-Processing: The sun is rising behind me obviously. I liked the way I was standing in the shade of a mountain behind me and watching the sunlight creep toward me as it moved higher in the sky.       Extra Info: burn, straightened a tad, resize, cloned vignette in one corner.

O.k. it does kinda remind me of a runway!

Listen, seriously, pilots look forward to getting down safely, divers look forward to getting up safely, and as we used to say, you need not wonder why Navy Pilots are just mostly conflicted about the whole up-down thing.

First - congratulations on your tt finish and thank you for a beautiful shot that brought back good memories for me. And yes - you (unlike most I talk to :-) got it. I just slid a paper mask up from the bottom till the shoulders hit the corner and liked it better.

Don't pay any attention to Jades comments - Pilots see this as a runway and just hope they will hit it anywhere. ROFLOL

Nice TT finish LaRee and a fine image. Don't worry about Mepo -- no one understands what he means ;-_) (did he ever tell you about that very problem and how it landed him and his buddies in the middle of a marsh....)

Just kidding Michael. I know exactly what you mean most of the time - though I have no idea what the shoulders meeting the asphalt means here since the two seem to meet all the way along to the focal point!!

Thank you Jade, Elliott, Mepo and Lo.
Mepo, I am trying to understand what you mean by the framing. I'm having a tough time. I'm a visual learner and can get stumped by words sometimes. ;-) Go figure...that I love photography. Grin. Do you mean I should have had less road in the image and more sky?
Oh no, wait, I think I get it....you mean the edge of the road should intersect with the bottom corner of the frame right?

What a terrific angle - It really lends grandeur to the mountains. I sure hope there wasn't much traffic! :)

Great shot. My suggestion would be to frame the bottom at the point where the shoulders of the road meet the asphalt - this reduces the amount of road and leads the eye directly to the scenery. The lighting brings out the majesty of the mountains beautifully. Well done.

Beautifully crisp and wonderful colour. This is a dramatic presentation and I yearn to see what it would be like as a panorama. Nice focal point effect.
