Thank you all for the nice comments. I choosed this one from several takes because I liked the positions and postures of the players, though there was some problem with the sharpness.

My answer to raf's question is yes absolutely to provide sufficient grounding and depth of field (literally!) to the shot. The grass tree line horizon is still under centre so it does not bisect the image yet still the image feels balance with light grass (in weigh and colour) against heavier trees. The yellow and greens of the uniforms beautifully compliment the yellow and green in the grass and foilage and the red uniform saves the image from blandness due to lack of colour spectrum. I really like this compositionally and technically except for the motion blur.

Nice action shot!! A pity that the cropping (or the compression for web) has created noise and strange artifacts that make the pic a bit "uncomfortable" to look at, but still makes my TT, well done!!

Great human element photo - very natural - perfect timing for the action - super composition. Something I would have liked to capture myself. All make me think of Old Finn.

If this was in sharp focus I think it would be my No. 1. Everything about is compositionally is excellent and the moment is perfectly captured. I think at f5.6 you might have been able to get a faster shutter speed to really freeze the action but the lack of sharpness hurts this alot for me. Everything else is near perfect including the lighting on the hair and the shadow in the background. Foregrounds and backgrounds are often overlooked but this is an excellent example of near perfect framing and use of foreground and background. There are no distracting elements and the framing is not too tight as many would do. Still this is in my top 10.

Good timing to catch the action like that and fits the theme. Seems to be a bit of a haze in the photo. Not sure what it is though. TT anyway. Good Luck.
