1/639s, f5.6, ISO 80, 96mm, Landscape, Pattern, no flash

Post-Processing: Cropped, enhanced highlights, cloned out minor distractions, sharpened and resized       Extra Info: Taken from a catamaran as we left the pier in Nassau. Behind the conch seller is one of the main shopping streets, where you will find the Straw Market, piled to the ceiling with t-shirts, nick-nacks and knock-off designer bags. Local women spend the day there, selling their wares, and embroidering the straw bags that the market is named for. Senor Frog's, famous throughout the Caribbean, is just visible down the street.

Beautiful place for sure :-) and an interesting pic for the theme too, the conch seller is nice but for me what makes the shot is the lady in red... a nice TT for me, well done!

Thanks Jade - glad the photo brought back memories. I agree with both you and Raf - I did crop to bring the conch seller closer, but any more and I would have lost too much of the water at the edge of the pier, which I felt was necessary to define where the shot was taken.

Forkcandles - There wasn't much of a chance to take the shot - we were being hustled aboard the boat like good little lemmings - and he had gone when I returned.

I would have prefrred the counch seller where the lady in red is but as leaving on boat sometimes picture takes take second place.

Almost there. I think I would have liked it a little closer to the chap in the foreground.

I know this place! I feel you really caught a sense of what the experience is like here with this image. That said, I am so taken by the conch seller in the foreground I keep wishing I had some closer shots to explore that scene more. However, this truly gives a bigger picture and the conch seller really grounds the shot and gives it a focal point. For personal reasons, I particularly like this one.
