Congratulations. I would not change a thing on this shot - as Jade said "it is a moment in time". 'Herding cats' - love it!

Ferocious!? You should see me in person, LOL! This is a gorgeous image all the same and certainly was worthy of at least the no. 3 position. It did end up where it started, as my no. 1 vote.

Congratulations on capturing a moment in time which would otherwise have been lost forever.

There is, I think, something here that says experience and there is the hint of the eye of a young photographer who started with film. I wonder if the sense of capturing the moment is more refined by those who learned to shoot when every frame meant more - because film was expensive and because the number of shots on a roll was limited. Looking back, I wondered at first if this was Melanija's but thought not because there was something special that said "experienced" to me, here. I couldn't figure it out but now that I know it was you, it makes more sense to me.

This pic stole my heart from the first seeing :-) Kids are always a favourite subject, and this image is so nice, so full of life and dynamism, that I can't help but giving you my top pick... a great and lovely image, well done!!!

Again, thanks to both of you. Glad you like it. Herding cats comes to mind.

I'm guessing Bill is taking a break from cutting cables. This photo has everything going for it including the major cute factor. The out-flung arms at the left & top tend to complete a circular composition, aided by the matching colour of the pants on two girls. My #1first time through and it stayed there despite some of the other excellent entries. Way to go!

You agree with Jade and I can't disagree. This was hardly composed. Kind of like herding cats. I shot what was there and what I could get. It was all very fast. That's street photography. Thanks for weighing in.

Like it though I think I would prefer either more or none of the girl on the left. Also a little bit more footpath to get a feel of where they are running.

really cute. but with kids it would work better to get down on their level and catch a bit more of the ambiance at the same time. still in my favs.

You are a ferocious and detailed critic, Jade O. And you are usually correct. Nevertheless, I am glad that you like the shot and that it is somewhere near the top for you. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

There is only one face visible and the pose of the girl furthest to the right is caught in an awkward stance, and the girl furthest to the left would be better left out of frame, and a smidge more height on top might have helped...but for the three girls in the centre the moment is perfectly caught, the natural shading perfectly frames the three girls in the middle, and the colours are wonderfully fresh. I may change my vote but on the first go around, the emotional appeal of this one and its technical achievements in framing and composition, despite some peripheral flaws, have me ranking this no. 1.
