Congratulations. It's a good job they built balconies to last in those days.

the how many can fit on the balcony competition.
I think a tighter crop or a wider one to give the impression of size

I love the composition of this shot. You must have taken it from a distance - the tourists aren't even aware that you are there.

Mepo, I give it up. The name "Fisherman's Bastion" refers to the medieval walls of this part of the fishermen's guild defended.

In my t2. This screams tourism imo. I thought I recognized St Stephans and had to dig through some old records from my visit eons ago. Why do they call it the Halaszbastya (Fisherman's Bastion) ? I never found out. All this makes a guess of f-otto pretty obvious. I see you were cursed with a lack of sun as I was but you certainly made the best of it. Great entry, I suspect it will be #1.

Great sense of place, and the wonderment in the eyes and faces of the people is to me the tourist in us all.

While the exposure, contrast, details, are fine, I feel the overcast and flatness of light in the foreground removes much dramatic punch from this shot. Different lighting and it could really "pop". I also find the horizon unfortunately placed in a way that it nearly bisects the image so for that reason I would have cropped a sliver off the top.

Still, this is wonderfully on theme, and well composed. Because it holds such interest and promise, I really wish the lighting made it more dramatic. Not yet sure how to rank but almost certainly it will be in my top ten.

Nice composition, good sharpness and colors. In my favorites.
