I just have to say the more I view this image, the more I like it. I think it would look great printed large and hung on my wall. :)

Thanks for all the comments. Much appreciated. I wasn't sure if this was a good shot to enter as it isn't a very exciting subject. However as I looked through the shots I had available, I kept coming back to the beautiful light in this one. Glad you all liked it too. This is actually the living room window of my sister's very small flat in Edinburgh, which my wife and I were visiting for a niece's wedding. It was actually a rather dull and dreary evening and the sun only appeared for a brief moment and then was gone again.

A fine image that I suspect will suffer in the voting as is not as eye-catching as others, but I still want to congratulate you for a technically very challenging capture nicely resolved, having the greens so nicely exposed and sharp, and still maintaining some details in the foreground. Well done! :-)

the curtains and the light on the frame take away the view but still a nice picture

What a tranquil view - the lighting is perfect. One small suggestion - I would have moved the computer screen out of the way first.

One of my first top picks. Fantastic lighting - you have a trained eye to spot such a great photo opportunity with such a mundane subject. Minor distraction with the monitor bottom left. This must be a relaxing room to work in.

Idyllic. Many city dwellers would die to have such a wonderful view.

This is one of the images that I look at and say, "I wish I'd taken that." LOVE it!
