great shot. at the top of my list. i even saved it then opened with a program and tried zooming in to see if i could see you in the reflections, but no luck. very nice 'op' art.

I love and hate this image in equal measure. The pattern is excellent, the object an obviously man-made creation with absolutely nothing to tell me what it is that I am looking at. Is this a giant sculpture or a hand held set of beads? I think this will do well in the voting but for me, without orientation or any point of reference to tell me this is all about is only an interesting study in patterning but a pointless (meaningless) photograph otherwise. A great pattern shot for me is one where the photographer reveals a pattern element in a surprising way, such as in an everyday object, or otherwise captures a naturally occurring pattern with a fresh perspective or interpretation; alternately, the photographer creates a pattern with surprising results. Here I see a pattern not created by the photographer but one which may be uniquely captured or interpreted but the lack of clue as to what this is, leaves me unknowing whether there is any photographic vision behind this or simply technical competence on display.

Love the way the shallow DOF zooms my eyes to the rear spheres in search of sharpness and the satisfaction of finding it in the thousands of tiny reflections. Top three

in my top five for the patterns alone. I would have had problems focussing on this pattern
