Post-Processing: cropped, rotated, sharpened, levels       Extra Info: "What!" says Jack's mother, "have you been such a fool, such a dolt, such an idiot, as to give away my Milky-white, the best milker in the parish, and prime beef to boot, for a set of paltry beans? Take that! Take that! Take that! And as for your precious beans here they go out of the window. And now off with you to bed. Not a sup shall you drink, and not a bit shall you swallow this very night." (from English Folk and Fairy Tales , by Joseph Jacobs)

Nice finish. Congratulations on a fine shot and a wonderfully original approach. For personal reasons, I feel very close to this one. Life is very much a fairy tale sometimes, and certainly so much is fresh when seen through the eyes of a 4 year old. It's a gift to be able to hold onto that and makes for a great photograph.

Thanks for all the comments. I got the idea of including the story from Jade (see Fables and Fairytales). My 4-yr old model was very cooperative for his age. He was paid for the shoot (oddly enough, with a handful of beans!)

Boy - if it had been a coffee bean stalk that grew as big as the one in the fairy tale, he could have made a fortune:-) Interesting take on the challenge. I like the presentation too.

Very creative! The story adds flavor and creativity. Great details.

Forget the story, the whole story is in the image; and better for being untold in words the better to let the imagination soar. A fine capture which stands alone in its own right. TF
