Thank you for all the votes, and the great comments. To answer a couple of questions, I have access because I work there. The camera is a Canon EOS 30D modified for IR. Makes it much easier to get the dark sky effect.

I recently did a shoot on this subject with nothing as good as this. Well done.

    A vivid shot of a non-living specimen.

Beautiful black and white contrast that grabs the viewer's interest.
The powers to be really turned on the points of interest for you.
Well done will look beautiful on a wall.

Exceptional clarity and dynamics, makes you think again about the 'price' of electricity - one of the best!

Powerful and very reminiscent of Ansel Adams - only industrial. Or maybe Margaret Bourke-White. Whatever. A great great shot and amazingly, my no. 3. A tribute to the quality of the top three entries.

It is difficult to make an inherently unattractive subject work, but you have certainly done it here. Nicely composed and beautifully photographed with excellent composition and contrast.

Before looking at pp. I thought that a bw with red filter had been used. The stark shapes and clouds with a deep sky. Wonderful
