ehstebann - Keep this up and you can take over my nickname of Sherlock :-)

The sad part of this train is that it is such a short route. It was supposed to be expanded but the politicians got real busy and messed the whole thing up.

Yeah this train model serves some connections here too. That's why I looked in the pic for a hint where it was shot. :)
An English station name... was a beginning.
North American style signs on the fences... narrowed it down.
Maple leaves on the train... pinned it down.

Thanks for all the comments. Joey has always loved toy trains and when I heard he was coming to town I set up this so he could have his first real train ride. I do admit that I hoped the perspective effect of platform and tracks would give me an entry as well and I got down to his level to accentuate it. It turned out better than I could have hoped as Joey was so full of excitement I could almost feel the platform vibrating. I was afraid he might shy away from the oncoming train but he stood his ground while holding on tight to his mum. raf, broph, Kudos for spotting the balled fist. ehstebann - Good spotting - it is indeed a Maple Leaf logo and you might be happy to hear the train was designed and built in Germany. elliot - You picked up on what I was trying to achieve but it was my first time at that station also. Joey's reaction made this a most satisfying experience, it was nice to share it with you guys. I will post some outakes from his ride.

I love this type of shot. It could be entitled a shot with a million stories. The youngster with the clenched fist and baggy jeans adds an element that makes this shot dynamic.

Good work incorporating the human factor, as cute usually goes a long way, well done & in my TT..

This is a nice capture, with clarity good color and lighting. However in a "perspective" challenge, I don't see anything that makes it stand out from the other entries. Good luck in the voting though.

So much excitement wrapped up in one little guy! It's something he'll remember forever.

Like the shot with the little boy obviously preparing, love the balled left hand.

Took me some time to realize what this shot is about: I didn't have the view of a toddler for years.
Does this train has halfes of maple leaves painted on, where the white stripe begins at the bottom?

A nice composition and effective for the sense of anticipation.

do i recognize this station from another entry of yours?

thought there might be more entries with rail road tracks.
glad you are shooting from a level close to the 2yr old's level.
along with lines that suggest a vanishing point in the distance, the gazes of the two subjects also point in that direction. nice composition for the challenge. el
