Sorry to hear about your GF1, but glad to hear about the Olympus, that's supposed to be a killer camera.

Jan 15, 2013		     leighton w, how are you? I do recall our converstation on DPR. I don't visit there much these days. I now know why that rural scene was so good. It was something you specialised in even then. Yes my FZ30 has moved on to my daughter, still getting nice shots of my grandson out of it. I am now a non Panasonic shooter as my GF1 fell and died on the hard rocks near this shot, about an hour before this shot in fact, and with the insurance money , and a few extra dollars, I went for an Olumpus OMD-E5.

It's good to see you again. You and I used to chat some time ago on the Panasonic thread on DPR. I've long sold my FZ-50, but there are times I wished I had it back.

This is near the top of Mt Buffalo, Australia, in the Victorian alps. The trees are snow gums. These eucalypts have lingo tubers that help them recover from bush fires. You can just make out the bushy growths at the base of a couple of them. That is 6 years growth.
