    My dear friends,
thank you very much for your nice comments - and for the votes! ;-)
I'm surprised, impressed and very happy :)

Una, please don't worry. I know it's only a few weeks to the summer holidays.
Haha, greedy... I did not know this word till now.
Jade, Jussi, I'll show some more in the outtakes.

...now, really! What a warm welcome!!!

Congrats on your double win! It was close voting in the open, but you made it!

Great idea for the challenge and well executed!

Great Great. Double firsts! Self-timed makes it even more special. What a leap! Can't wait to see more in outtakes!

Good, fun stuff, great sun rays and good choice to convert to B & W.

KJW: it just looks like a high jump. Actually I had a ligament rupture 3 month ago and jumping is a very challenging thing to do... ;-)
The trick is the location. I'm on a hill that falls off on both sides. Maybe I'll show a picture of the location in the outtakes.

Trying to fiqure out how you obtained this shot. Appears as subject is more than a few feet off the ground. Low angle to give it that appearance? Jumping on something like a trampoline? Or just someone with a heck of a lot of vertical jumping height. In a way really like but in another wondering if subject to dark.

Hey Jade, I have one other version that looks much more like 'jumping out of a plane'. I think you maybe would like it even more.
I almost entered it to the open, but didn't want to enter 2 almost identical pictures...

Jade: ...sweet! ;-)

eagle1: thanks a lot. I left the ground in to give a better orientation to it. Without the ground it could have been a base jump or paragliding or something like this. This way it is clearly a simple 'lift off' on my way to the sun... :D

fc: normally I don't ever use flash. I wanted it dark! Otherwise I could have taken the shot with the sun's direction. And concerning the point of view - you are very right! That halo would have been a nice effect. ...but I took the picture with the 2 sec self-timer delay. See, there was not much time to jump in front of the cam. I was clad to be able to get this one.

a very difficult shot well caught on the stop point at the top of the jump. might have worked with a weak fill flash and jump more into the brighter sky giving a halo effect

Nice action shot. The silhouette works, but cropping out the entire dark foreground on the bottom would have made it even more dramatic. I still give it a high ranking.

Spectacular! If this was an original idea, you've really hit the mark! Can't wait to see who took this one.
