Double congrats - this one is nearly as good as my chicken - just a little bit less acrobatic LOL

Jade, you know about the Confed-Cup?! COOL!!!
See, the Brazilian soccer team is really great - and alike is the Spanish - normally. But after watching a bit of the Confed-Cup I got the idea that the German team has to compete with the Brazilian team next year in the final... in Brazil... that will be a heavy duty!

Puh!!! Oh, thanks a lot, all!
This is really a big surprise to me. Reading the comments I thought no one would vote for my picture. And watch this - it's so tight: between place 4 and 1 are only 6 points!!! Each one of them could have won easily!
I was just lucky - and I'm very happy! :))
Thanks a lot!

Well, I'm going to paraphrase neat, you look like you feel. But despite what everyone said about fill flash and dark shadows, I thought the presentation was quite deliberate. Then I read what akebono wrote and in deference to his insight and talents in photography, I think he is probably right on with his comments.
But you still got a double double as we say in Canada!

(Now tell us, are you as happy today as the Brazilian football (soccer) team?)

Lol you look so young, like a teenager, Well thanks for the 10, on my photo. I guess technicals don't matter in Panachallenge, I think the fun aspect to this photo made it win. Well done!

    How about vertical crop here?

babysister: ok... I surrender... I shouldn't have touched the contrast button and everything would be fine... that's the reason for the blown sky and everything everyone is complaining about...
But actually I didn't want to be recognized - that's why I darkened my face with contrast. More light wouldn't be helpful for this...

I would have liked a little more light on the subject. Wonderful sky!

eagle1: ..as I said, I should have entered the b/w version...

...and, AKEBONO!!! Glad you are around again! We missed you!
Thanks for commenting!

Nicely composed, dramatic image, but IMO the underexposed shadows of the figure and the overblown highlights of the clouds takes away from the total impression. The contrasts of light/dark in this image provide great potential, but is also one of the most difficult lighting scenarios to nail evenly. For the most part, a very good effort, however.

LOL!!! neat! That boy is me!!! :DDD But thanks a lot! Haven't heard such a nice compliment for a lot of years! ;-)
I used the remote control and did not see what I was actually getting or where I was standing.

Concerning the blown sky: I should have entered the b/w version. It has more power.

well caught at point of stop motion.

It's a pitty that you didin't use flash. Or you could have used a faster shutter speed to avoid overexposure of the sky.
Nice background!

An image like this would easily win most Challenges. Here you have some tough competition but this is such a skillful shot. Great subject, great point of view, fantastic lighting. I can't believe you caught all of this with just some contrast and saturation tweaks. A great great shot!

Had potential, but the bright blown out sky doesn't help neither does the centred pose, he feels a little too crammed in the frame as well, I feel a wider angle would of been a lot better to use, and maybe shoot at a different time of day, with the boy posing further away.

Love the clouds though.
