Thanks to you I've been drinking far too much coffee since seeing your entry! Must be nice to have all those assistants :-)

Perfect song choice! Love the crop, and the warm colours of the coffee against the B&W.

A novel pairing of lyric and picture.

The pyjamas are a onesy,( all in one ) very cuddly and cute. This one has a hood and ears, but the ears are not in shot.

tvsometimes I tried the black and white version and found the cloud effect got lost due to lack of contrast. How ever maybe masking the colour to reduce the jarring would have helped?

To my eye partial desats almost never work and here it lends an artificial feel that becomes wearing. So, I imagine the all bw version it might have been and put it in my top 5 where it should be.

Selective colour to me makes this look forced. Otherwise nice framing and composition.

Very cleverly done. Good for the theme.

Quite right, I did ask her to draw the hand back so the coffee was not covered. I also took some shots with both hands behind the glass, but the hand on the glass linked the figure to the coffee and looked better. Making the figure black and white helped with a skin colour problem and helped highlight the coffee as the main focus. Originally the skin colour on the hand was rather pink in colour and her face tended toward the green end of the scale, so correcting the skin colour either drained her of colour or left the fingertips too red. I did have quite a fun time experimenting with viscosity of the milk, to get a good 'cloud' effect. I settled on one part condensed milk mixed with one part evaporated milk in a medium strength coffee. My assistant poured the milk into the coffee in one quick splash and I took 7 shots in a row to capture the changing effect. Meanwhile my other assistant held up a screen to cut down on reflection.

This is an eye catching, unusual image and hops into my favourites right away. I wonder of course, what it would look like in full colour but do respect your choice. The hand on the mug is in an unnatural position and looks awkward, I suspect you had her draw it back so as not to cover the coffee. Interestingly, I love the hand behind the mug. No idea how many coffees you had to go though to get this but it's certainly in my top 5. (great song by the way). Well done.
