OK, looks like you left out "rotated" in your post-processing! Good use of lighting here. In my favs.

A very good idea for the theme. I keep waiting for them to topple!

    k. You are one of many who didn't like the rotation. I like the presentation this way though.

i like the sharness, the colour, the lighting and the subject.... I just find the left side of the photo distracting - was the photo meant to be rotated 90 degrees anti-clockwise?
even so, a crop without the reflection would be my preference

johncomyn At least I got the desired effect with one person! The jagged transition is the shadow showing on the surface. Rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise. The effect I wanted was white and black halves with a looking down effect though I actual shot across the surface.

hifi It worked out in a way I was quite satisfied with.

Lo You are correct. I like it too for all the reasons you said. I think the rotation adds the necessary impact.

Mepo and elliott I was concerned the viewers might want to tilt their heads so what worked for me, Lo and johncomyn I'm sorry didn't quite do the trick for everyone. I just wanted to create something interesting that viewers might stop to ponder.

Like the result, just the transition between the left and right bugs me a little. Seems it was done in PP, but obviously not as your only PP is "crop". Would be nice to know after the challenge how this was done.

This is different. I like the contrast and subject - good idea for the theme.

I'm assuming you rotated the photo, which really added to the overall effect. I like the simplicity of the shapes and colours.

Love this even if my neck doesn't. The only thing that I would change would be to make the reflection not match the subject :-)

i'll bet i'm not the only one who keeps tilting their head to view this rotated 90 degrees. that being said, great exposure and focus. high in favorites and think it would do even better if rotated back.
