The background figure spoils this one for me. I think you need a kid to hold it or let it stand on its own. Love the bike and the gearshift especially - I think this style is coming back in vogue.

And you still have it? The picture has a warm and kind of fall-ish atmosphere, and the color of the bike fits perfectly in the scene.

The Barracuda based on the original British Rayleigh bike called the Chopper.
this was a response to the easy rider film and the chopped Harleys in the film
a big seller and since rereleased by Rayleigh. An original sold for ££££ recently
Looks like a well used bike

The bike is still in great shape after all those years. Those seats were quite the rage!

Oh wow, banana seats & sissy bars this brings back memories. Nice.

Ah, the proverbial bicycle! What childhood would be complete without one? The image is nice, but nothing outstanding -- yet I feel like it deserves high marks for being so spot on in meeting this challenge theme.

Thanks cookiejar.
Thanks Elliott. Until my parents gave it away while I was in college, I had also still had my rather unique chain-driven tricycle with steps on the rear for a 2nd rider to stand on. Ahhh, memories ....

wow, that's a beauty. how did you ever keep it intact? i'm going to guess you outgrew it before you could wear it out. (i'm just jealous... always had hand down stuff and by the time i got done with it, it was rubbish)
great shot for the theme.
