Congrats on your top 4 finish! As for my initial comment, I think that the lighting is so interesting on the top row, that the other rows look a bit bleak in comparison.

Jade O said : cookiejar Thank you. I was trying to keep it simple.
If I had done it I would have had egg on my face after seeing your beautiful rendition! I'm glad I didn't.
Congrats!

I knew it - Bernie was right - JadeO is a team - who else would need 2 1/2 dozen eggs.

Eggsactly what I was looking for but I didn't have enough eggs in my basket.

This is a great study in the way the light source reflects off the eggs. Someone is going to be eating a lot of omelettes!

kerszkavet litlemav I wanted to try this to get feedback on the lighting, thanks!

babysitter Would have been fun to see you take on the idea, too!

Kemosabe The color was unintended but I liked it.

A good application of the theme. One I was going to try but didn't get around to it. Lovely photo.

Love the unique interplay of shadow and light.
Much to take in, from the glow on the top row to
the double shadows in the bottom row.

cookiejar Thank you. I was trying to keep it simple.

davep56 I was lighting off angle to enhance the 3D effect.

fc The colour is just incandescent lamp glow I think.

mrsawyer Too harsh? I wanted to make the eggs pop.

Beautifully photographed to make the most of the subtle colours. Elegant in it's simplicity

Like the concept but think the lighting could be improved to give more even light over the whole image

like the use of the colour to high light the "half Dozen"
there is a shell marked on row third from bottom which could have been cloned out.
like the entry

Eggscellent idea! I'm a bit conflicted on the lighting. I like the lighting on the top row particularly.
