WOW ! Thanks for all the votes and kind words, what a great surprise !
I did a lot of experimenting bouncing lights around and converting images to B/W.
When I stumbled on this combination I knew I had something.
Some would call it serendipity :)

Look at the number who rated this first or runner up. That alone says something. Congratulations!

Congrats on first place, I have to admit I didn't even give this a 2nd glance, I normally like my flower shots in color. Still you did a good job.

I am so used to the vibrant colours of the gladiolus, that I never would have thought to convert to B&W - but what a stunning effect!

Water droplets on a flower have been done so often but you have lifted this to a new level. Very well done. B&W makes it that little bit more edgy too!

Even though I would like to see the color of the Gladiola, this works for me also. The contrast between the flower & background really makes the glad stand out. Very nice clarity. Added to favorites & definitely in running for #1.

This is so well done. The lighting done as a B/W rendition is perfect for this. In my top 3.
