Thank you for the votes and kind words.
Great challenge !
This was a new technique for me and it took a lot of shooting to get the hang of it.

Like the light trails and the uncluttered background. A fav for me.

1 second seems like such a short time in these experiments. You've done well to capture this effect.

Well done - you've managed to retain the clarity of the sign while taking advantage of the long exposure to add interest.

Jade O and elliot : thank you for taking the tine to comment.
forkcandles : I didn't now the technique was called camera writing. Gee yesterday I couldn't spell camera writer, and today I are one. LOL
I think of it as reverse light painting since the light is painted directly on the sensor instead of on the subject.
kardstrtr : Great interpretation, thanks.
KJW : It's all about the camera being motionless for the first few milliseconds to burn in the sign then using what time is left to do some quick manuvering. This was my first attempt at something like this and it took MANY practice shots before I achieved the eureka ! moment.

I'm figuring the sign isn't moving but you were moving your camera to get this effect. If so I'm amazed at how sharp it is. That definitely how I feel in morning before that first cup.

Nice shot - almost looks like you've added a striped awning to the facade.
