This is beautiful. What wonderful light. I have never had the opportunity to shoot in snow. It seems like it would be quite difficult. Like the beach but tougher. You did very well with this image. It is very pleasing.

Terrific Winter scene. The uneven lighting is superb.

Congrats, it's a beautiful winterscape, although it looks a bit overcooked for my taste.

O.k. I'm a little shocked at the number of number one votes! See outtakes, and thank you!

A beautiful winter scene. I find the PP a bit overpowering, but overall it's an impressive photo.

I really like this. It might be a bit too much HDR for my taste but the colour, composition and sharpness are great

Gorgeous scene, very dreamy, love the way the water looks. My top pick.

oof Tough to shoot snow in low light overcast so I can say I have done worse.

fc See outtakes.

dave56 Landscapes are tough and winter landscapes even tougher.

eagle1 See outtakes and my comments above. The original wasn't that good so I had to do something - I didn't like the bluish cast but had trouble taking it out.

I love the overall lighting and color here, though the brightness in the far right throws me off a bit. Were the two exposures you stitched shot in portrait orientation or landscape?

I mentioned to another entrant that it is not easy to create an interesting and well-composed photo of snow covered trees. This one gets so close to being the best of such photos in this series, but in this case, I think the HDR treatment hurt, rather than helped, the final result (and BTW, I don't dislike HDR per se). I think with the light falling on some of the trees and dark, foreboding clouds looking more natural would be more striking and pleasing to the eye -- IMHO, of course.
