Thanks very much for your votes, comments and suggestions. What a result for my first entry in a Panachallenge competition!

This was indeed a decisive moment, that I hardly succeeded to capture, because these (traditional) churchgoers suddenly crossed my path, while I had to go into another direction myself (symbolical, with my background) and there was an impatient motorist behind me. I hadnít planned to go to this city and at first got lost in another part of it. So much the more a special moment.

Thanks again, all the best for 2014 and until the next entry

The little girl looking back makes all the difference in this sweet image.

Beautiful back-lit street shot, reminds me of Cartier-Bresson. Capture it as the girl turn her head was a stroke of genius and ... maybe luck?1

What a wonderful image. It would be nothing without the girl flashing you a look. She makes it.

A case where that little girl turning around just made the shot for you. Outstanding! My favorite.

Nice B&W, that girl turned around at the right time to make the picture.

I just love the old time feeling in this B&W, and the look back and eye contact from the little girl makes it perfect, high up in my favourites!

Really strong family shot in an urban setting. Love the black and white treatment.

I really like the naturalness of this scene - the curiosity of the young girl, the purposeful strides of the mother - great capture!

Perfect timing, the little girl looking back with one foot in the air is icing on the cake. You really should clone out the garbage can and the cars to do full justice to this image. It`s a winner in so many ways!

Nice capture! Despite all that's around her, my eyes come to and stick with the natural beauty of the position of the little girl facing us. Very pleasing image.

a lovely family shot with the eldest [?] girl looking backwards making it come alive
IMO would have cropped to the bottom of the LH puddle. and more level to make a darker shadow

Well exposed. Love the shadows and wasn't the little girl so cooperative!

Wonderful image a la Bresson; the girl's expression is priceless.

The softness adds to the atmosphere; lucky to have caught the girl looking back which lifts the image to another level.

in my favorites right away. the real magic is in the child's look back towards you. although it is from today, it captures at least what we in the 'new world' would call 'old world atmosphere'. i'd capitalize on that and crop in a little closer, clone out the plastic dumpster and the cars somehow.
in any case, i think this should finish near the top as is.
cheers!!
