Thanks all for the comments Really appreciated!

Amberbug - Yes snow on the sides of the trees, was surprised to find snow covered trees after a couple days thaw. Snow has returned with a vengeance, we have been snow stayed for 5 days now.

Beautifully composed. I like the use of black and white. A superb photograph.

Good choice for b&w although I think a levels adjustment might make it pop. Eye catching composition.

Nice B&W, like the composition and the snow ? on the right side of the trees.

I like the treatment you have used - it really enhances beauty of the trees, and the dark black of the pines creates that wonderful panoramic effect that draws your eye across the photo.

really like the stark composition, the high contrast and even (in my view) the slightly over-sharpened quality. Would have ranked higher, but 2 overlapped merged images each only from a 90 mm perspective is not quite panoramic... All the same, this image is visually pleasing.

This is by far my favorite this time. It's very simple and graphic, and I love the very subtle signs of human traces, like the planted trees and snow covered road, and the white fence poles against the black forest. Nice!

Very pretty, I would have thought it was an etching. TT

Very nice treatment of an excellent composition - almost looks like an ink drawing.

Very artistic but a little stark without being stark enough. I'd feel better if the darker clumps of trees were not in the shot. As it is, they appear to add distracting clutter.

This is a perfect image for black and white. The contrast of light and dark is so well balanced, and the composition is wonderful. Top 3 for sure.

great shot!! host might have been looking for a bit wider angle shot, but this is too good to be overlooked.
