Funny how a teacher can make all the difference one way or the other.

My exposure to Milton was only positive and Paradise Lost is a great piece of literature. But I still prefer doing to reading.

Now to find something worthy for this wide open next Challenge...

I hope you're not charging me for this education :-)

I got precious little Shakespeare in school. My English Teacher was an enormous fan of Paradise Lost and we studied it for two years straight. I hated that book with a passion. I made a conscious effort to forget every word of it as soon as I could. It also destroyed my love of books but fortunately I found that again later.

Corny only works if there is a kernal of truth in what is said. In short, it has to be in grained. But I think you've had an earful so I'll bale on any further farmyard puns.

Of course I am familiar with the word kine. It has been around since Elizabethan England. You remember Shakespeare, but somehow Hamlet Act 1 Scene 2 springs to mind. "A little more than kin but less than kine." I recall Hamlet was taking about bovine in-breeding or something (I think he essentially called his mother a cow for bedding down with Hamlet's uncle). (BTW It's also a little known fact that Elsinore was the inspiration for Elsie the Cow.)

We are both ROFLOAO. Your corny humour is enough to feed a whole herd. Your comments leave us on the horns of a dilemma - how will we ever be able to respond in kine. Kine is Lo's brilliant addition. Go get your dictionary (maybe you don't need to but I did LOL).

Hay! Given what I had to work with I thought it deserved a little teat for tat.

Amazing to get this much detail at that speed. My only suggestion would be to up the contrast or warm the colours a bit, as the photo seems a bit faded.

This reminds me of visits to my grandfathers farm. He had a huge dairy farm, except slightly more automated these days. Nice.

Nifty presentation and great feel. (I'm biting my cheek to avoid saying it.. holy cow! I couldn't help it.)

The glint in the eye of the first cow adds interest to this photo. I'm surprised at the sharpness displayed here with such a slow shutter speed. In my favs.
