Compliment well deserved. You've knocked down a few quite good prints and this is right up with your pano shot; though much different this looks effortless -- until one tries to go and get a take like this. Congrats!

Congratulations - Re the distortion - I meant the way the trees leaned inwards. Loved the shot it was my #2

Lovely B&W shot, with the dramatic sky contrasting the delicate branches.

I really like the stark simplicity, and the unexpected impact of the sky in B&W

Phil99 , tvsometime - thanks for the comments.
eagle1 - you got me thanks for the compliment!
Mepo - Not sure what distortion you are referring to, thanks for the comment.
forkcandles, dk, SteveBee, cookiejar - Thanks for the great comments.
Jado - Wow, that is quite the compliment!
RolandB - Thanks very much.
Joanna - Yes might be a little cramped, I will post one I took in landscape that I prefer in the outtakes.

Seems a lttle cramped by the format.

Gotta love the NIK plugins! But, without this beautiful photo you took it wouldn't matter. Love the composition and processing.

Easy #1 by a mile in my book. Perfectly composed and rendered.

not sure if I prefer to think that the stark trees in the foreground are isolated, or the structure in the background is what you refer to. I would have concentrated on the structure and composed the shot with the structure not split by the tree...perhaps seen between the two trees on the left, near a (sometimes magical) rule of 1/3rd spot. Great sky.

Beautiful image - B&W was the right choice for sure. Not a fan of the distortion on the tree line but it's a minor gripe. Love the trace of clouds from the left side swooping in and bursting out. Well done!

My guess is this is a johncomyn photo. Besides the fine composition, it has his signature Black/White-skinny-tree-landscape look! Whoever took the photo, it's high in my list of favorites.

Very good! I like the tree line with the hut at the back compared to the trees in the dip in the land in the foreground. I like the sky too. Maybe it would be even better if the larger black specs in the foreground and the twig on the left hand tree had been cloned away. :)

Lovingly captured and so well processed as to make this snowy scene actually seem attractive even nearing the end of a very harsh winter season that still has 3 feet of snow/ice on our grounds when usually there is nothing of the sort. Top five.
