    Thanks for all your comments.

I was happy with how this image turned out irrespective of placing but it is nice to have the affirmation many of you liked it too.

Not your best cloning job, but very imaginative and good enough for 2nd place, so congrats!!!

I guess, the cloning was needed to ignore gravity?

    Thanks for all your comments.

Image captured here taken as you see it in one frame, with minor cloning out to create the illusion of floating, see outtakes (like any magic trick, I guess once you see how simple it is, some of the magic is lost.) I wonder if that will change how you feel about the surrealism / presentation / photo quality.

I don't recall seeing this elsewhere so I think the idea is entirely original but no way I can be sure I'm not drawing on some subconscious recollection of something or other. It's just a further experiment with sliced fruit from my last challenge entry.

Love it. Looking forward to the outtakes to see how it was done. I'm assuming two photos merged in layers. Good job on the shadows!

Good work, but I wonder, how it is done with only minor clone

OK - I can see how you did this. The huge electromagnet under the plate is obvious but how you hide the metal plates in each piece of fruit and then got them to stay in place is beyond me :-))) Great idea, beautifully executed -Love it!

An ambitious and mostly successful attempt at a surrealist image. Kudos for giving it a RED hot go.

A balancing act... effective use of colours, background, and shade.

I think I recognise the plate pattern. had you thought of rubbing lemon juice to the cuts of the apple as they appearing to be going brown.
cant wait for the explanation of the pp work in outtakes

Maybe not so red, but too clever to ignore. A major favorite.

Yes! Nice work on processing. Artistic without resorting to oversaturating the color. Well done!

So, you're not going to say how you did this? Pretty clever.
