What a great choice for the challenge - love it! Well composed and well taken.

That puzzled me too when I first looked at it. They are definitely down in the sand.

Interesting how the footprints appear to be raised or is that an illusion?

One of the better "sand" captures I've seen. I have never been happy with my attempts, but the shadows and contrasts really work here.

Joanna: It was the quirkiness of these two which caught my eye. I think we have seen a lot of matching footprints in photography so I was avoiding that. You may be right that just 1 or 3 might have been better.

The sand is nice and crisp but I wonder if one or any odd number of foot prints would work better. Two implies a pair of feet and I therefore find this confusing with the left one on the right side. Realise they are probably different feet but being somewhat similar they immediately made a "pair" to my eye.

Sort of wish the prints had been reversed but still an interesting effect. Nice detail.

Nice use of the frame to highlight the foot prints

    So beautiful!

eagle1: Thanks for your comment. If you look carefully you will see that these footprints are from two different people. There were footprints everywhere and I just managed to make a "feature" of these two.

Interesting image. I presume someone has already caught this, but the left foot is on the right, and the right foot is on the left!

Interesting phenomenon. Nice to have such a picture. Suits to the topic.

Love this shot and you have a 'good eye' to have seen the possibilities. The one thing that distracted me at first was that the walker had obviously put their feet on backwards that morning (the arch and big toe go on the inside LOL). Thanks for the explanation, I would have been trying to figure out the imprint (or overprint) for a long time. Simple but very effective. Love the texture.
