Thanks Neat! I take that as a great compliment, I always admire what you enter!

This was a shot I rejected for the Portrait orientation challenge. I have not had time since March to take pictures, lots of unexpected things going on here.

Feels good to be back though! Need to get back into the groove shooting again!

I guess we all had no chance, but maybe if I entered my best shot, who knows, I very rarely enter my best shot, congrats anyway you can't seem to do no wrong.

Jade O. - That is quite the compliment!
eagle1, hifi, Phil99, RolanB - Thanks for the great comments!
RobertLavker - It was cold! The sun can just be so intense and bright in the snow
Elliott - Just an apple tree in a field down the road from me in Ontario Canada. Thanks for the comment.
dk - I find snow scenes really help with shadows, seems to reflect light in all directions. Thanks for the comment!
forkcandles - Not desert, second guess is right. thanks for commenting.
Adirondack Gal, ysal, cookiejar, BarbroS - Thanks for the awesome compliments!
Lo - I always love getting your nice comments!
babysister, neat, gotta.learn - Thank you for the great comments.

Very nicely relized B&W photo. Good composition with the shadow an attractive part. Like the sunburst too. Great photo !

Fabulous shot I'm having trouble taking my eyes off of. So much going on here; sun, cloud, tree, curving ground, all beautifully offset by the dramatic shadow. Fantastic!

Great shot under what must have been difficult lighting conditions. You say "Burning Up" but I feel the cold.

I think this is a beautiful photo. It's charming, almost cute the way the little tree has such a big shadow..
