Thanks again for all the comments!

I actually posted this in the outtakes of the portrait orientation challenge in colour.

I must admit I found it hard to figure out what I was looking at then I saw the boot tracks lower right (I think) and maybe have a clue. I'm guessing frozen spray from the water, lake, sea on the beach. I do know it looks really cold. Maybe colour might have been better in this case.

Nice monochrome rendering. I am at odds with the darkness of the right side of the sky as to whether it competes with, or compliments the darkness on the ground beneath it.

I'm finding it hard to know what i'm looking at here but I love the tones.

Beautiful shot, very effective in BW. One of my top picks

I remember a similar scene (hopefully yours) from earlier this year where the colour took my breath away. It's interesting to see just how much detail and movement comes through in B&W

I like this a lot, but why am I seeing the letter "V" in the water in the foreground? Other than that, this is a great capture.

the B&W works well here and footprints can be seen which i doubt would not have so apparent in colour

I love the tonality range that you have captured. Very abstract. Beautifully done. A top ten for sure.

Great tonal quality and details. I feel like the subject is missing/moved out of the frame though - maybe it is just me.
