I wondered if this was Kalgoorlie or perhaps Argyle. Not easy to show the depth without a point of reference but this looks great.

This is a huge open cut mine in Kalgoorlie. Go to superpit.com.au We are touring with our caravan and stayed here over a week. My sunset shot is taken from the same place but a little later overlooking the town. I tried to take shots of the blasting but they weren't that good.

Good focus, even on the shady parts. The area in the lower right corner is important for adding depth and context. In my favs.

That sure is a big cavity. I'm glad it's not in my tooth!

You've done a great job of expressing the size of this pit. Driving the big dump trucks on that road must be hair raising - I can see the rubble on and below several spots. Well composed and lit!

This really has the wow factor going for it. Great lighting too.

Could be an interesting abstract. Some areas are blown out.

The parallel lines form a really interesting pattern. The careful excavation suggests a valuable find. By the fact that you are there, and that there are no figures or vehicles to lend scale, I'm assuming the mine has been abandoned

sometimes man and nature an combine to make something awesome and this hole is one. imagine the fun a diving school could have when its full of water and some old wreaks at the bottom

I love the title! The slightly blown highlights a little less so. Overall, I sent a touch more contrast would really bring the lighting out.
