The foreground reminds me of a previous entry with elephant seals on a beach (I wonder if it is the same photographer). With the colors and lighting, you have achieved a somber mood here.

Very abstract, I like this just not sure why.

    Clever shot. Well spotted.

Thanks for commenting. This photo was taken at dusk, hence the overall darkness, but I was intrigued by the way the clouds had reflected on the surface of the water. I agree that the debris is distracting; but I was trying to give the cloudes context. In retrospect, I might have been better to include the far shoreline, and crop to the edge of the water.

    Beautiful minimalist composition.

Your intent may have been an impressionist sky but the shoreline debris is what my eye goes to first since it is in focus. The overall exposure seems a bit dark.

when i viewed in on my screen due to the state of my eyes the picture was cropped at the bottom and the looks better without the twigs

Interesting take on photo of the "sky." I love the design captured here creating layers of texture with sticks, sand water all graduated from dark to light. The subtlety of the graduating colors adds to the mood. Really cool shot in my opinion.

I like the concept, but for me, the pieces of driftwood on the beach are an incongruent distraction. Even if you cropped to include just the beginning of the beach it would have made a better impression, IMHO. Still, a fine entry.

An interesting almost abstract. Well done - I just don't know if I like the muddy look of the subject.
