St. Paul's Basilica       ©2014 hifi
Panasonic DMC-GH3       7th place, 97 points
1/4s, f3.5, ISO 200, ?, ?, ?, ?

Post-Processing: HDR processing, using 6 bracketed shots.       Extra Info: Inside St. Paul's Basilica, in Toronto, Ontario.
Our photo group was doing a photo tour of some old
churches in downtown Toronto, and we lucked out on this one.
They let us in to take pictures for a couple of hours.
What a beautiful place!
This was taken from the upper balcony at the back.

Great POV, clarity and lighting. I think this would have been a stellar shot sans the curvature.

Cool shot, like the wide angle effect.

I love the crisp clear exposure that is bringing out the colors and contrasts so beautifully. Possibly not intended is the perfect split of the pews contrasting light on the left and shade on the right. Amazing job joining the 6 photos seamlessly. Lovely, lovely photo.

I had no idea this Basilica existed in Toronot - would love to visit it. Beautiful exposure and detail, though I find thecurvature a bit distracting

not sure how others will feel about the lens distortion, but i'm glad you didn't try to undo it. intriguing shot. and you can't beat the natural lighting in there.

I love the lens distortion here. Without it, this would be just another shot of the beautiful church.

i am not a fan of HDR. you have made use of the system to get a good result with all the important bits clearly shown

Like the detail in this but would be better if not slightly tilted to the right.

    Thanks for feedback!

Jade O: yes, a slight CCW rotation is in order!

eagle1: The fisheye was key in being able to capture this scene. I have photographed a lot of church interiors and the fisheye IMO is a necessity.

Nice capture - a unique opportunity to document some beautiful architecture. At first, I wasn't sure about the fish-eye effect, but I think it does work with this image.

Very Daliesque. I love the "time-warp" sense that this images evokes. Nicely done.

Not a fan of the distortion which I would work hard to correct but well taken and lit. I think you need to rotate slightly to ensure the top corners hit the corners at the same lines and the horizon does look off a bit (rotate counter clockwise).
