Looks like a fun camera. I think just using it would inspire me.

thanks for all the comments everyone! This was a friend's old Digilux 1. He did not want to pay for the repair, so I had it repaired last year. It works pretty well, though it takes some getting use to.

it is the way the hands cradle the camera and fill the frame that I like about this.

Nice and sharp - looks like a classic cam in really good condition. I might have selectively darkened the background to highlight the hands which are very nicely lit.
