Thanks all. The guys were crossing a street on the way to a 4th of July celebration. I was a good distance away. Mepo, the cropped head is meant to honor the Edge challenge!!!

A very sweet shot.

I'm glad you included both the subjects in the photo. If they were not there I would not know why the hands were held the way they were. Not sure about the forehead crop but high in my picks anyway.

This has an un-posed look to it that I like. It's a bit soft and muted, but the back-lighting is nice. It's hard to focus on the hands with such interesting expressions

Love it...tells a great story.

The facial expressions are what my eyes are drawn to immediately rather than the hands. This almost always happens when you include faces in a photo.

Mmmm - 2 generations of deep thinkers. Excellent photo, love the back lighting, the similar white tee shirts.

Not wild about the background but the back lighting is just right and the moment is perfectly caught with a candid look that couldn't be better done if it had been posed. Too bad the head is sliced on top and a too little soft on the focus for my liking but still makes my top picks.

A lovely photograph. Their wonderful expressions steal the eye away from the hands.

not enough of the hands . a tight crop using just one hand looks very much better. the exposure is also a bit soft.
