Didn't have time for comments during voting, but thought your shot looked so professional and artistic.

thank you for your comments on my entries - I think the butterfly was not edgy enough, but glad you liked it.

Well if Max could see you roll out at the top he'd give you some grief about not keeping that table level. Anyway what's with all the white flowers (I'm a bit jealous).

Thank you for all your votes and especially your comments. Michael, I'm sure you've noted my new trend, one high one basement, just to keep balanced.

The dark background really sets the mood here. I love the framing, lighting and focus.

... I hope they don't do it!

Surreal - and a bit disturbing- image that makes you wonder what's happening here. Not only uses the physical edge, it's even more 'edgy' in the emotional sense. Well-executed, striking.

Perfect focus, great lighting, thought provoking.

The lighting attracted me right away but I find too many ambiguities in the image which annoy rather than intrigue. The light and the flowers keep it in my favs.

You had me with the excellent lighting and the positioning of the figure. The cleaver is a bit of overkill :)

Good edgy work especially in the way the protagonist is cut off by the edge and corner leading abruptly into the essential elements of the image.

Different Approach, no matter what he is waiting for I think he is in trouble. Nice shot, exposure, composition.

dk I think you've got the concept; not nearly as dark as others interpreted it. But you are right with the split focus. I don't know if I could have lit just the body and kept the light looking natural. It was all from the same one source, just taken with two different shutter speeds.

Very good idea, and excellent setup and PP work too!

This is a technically beautiful image. However, I find the implication of the presence of the cleaver too disturbing and offensive.

    Macabre, but well done.

for whom the bell tolls?? lighting confuses me a bit. You have manipulated it so you have more than one central focus; I might have chosen one...in this case, the side of the man's body

A very interesting and creative work, great lighting - I sense something bad is about to happen - very unsettling - makes me edgy.

stong imagery here leaving a question "awaiting for what"
proberbly made the rh bottom edge of the table the base of the picture.

edgy on two counts... theme and framing. works for me and you have my vote. nice work on composition and lighting. table may seem off kilter but doesn't really distract from overall shot. nice going.
