Better than mine, by far, IMHO, and this taught me of the link from Monet to van Gogh which I'd never realized before.

This is an image I would be very proud of.

Great use of post-processing! I'd like to see the photo you started with in the outtakes.

Good composition and effective post processing. Leans toward expressionism, an effective photograph.

As a result one of the best, but it's a pity it is done by post-processing.

You've created an interesting and striking effect here - great colour and lighting

i like the oil painting filter you have used. it would have IMO worked better if the picture was out of focus first then the lines and shapes would have been less delineated

A striking image, but I didn't vote for it because according to the challenge instructions: "More effort should be placed on image capture rather than post-processing." Your use of a filter to achieve the effect is, I think, inconsistent with the intent of the challenge. I look forward to seeing more of your images in future challenges.

Great - love the special effect and especially like the different colours of the cat's eyes.

Very van Gogh! (Technically, I think most would say he was post-Impressionism but for this Challenge, it is close enough for me.) I think you will get many who criticize your use of PP - the Challenge was specifically amended to delete the comment about marking down for PP. You may end up with my top vote! This is a stunning presentation, vibrant colour, excellent composition, and right between photo-real and concept art; great effort. I should have mentioned your image educated me to this effect which, although I ascribed more to van Gogh, actually is quite reminiscent of true impressionist styles such as illustrated in Monet's Madame Monet and Child. I learned something new thanks to you (and a great image IMHO)
