Thanks for the comment on the bottom left corner of my entry. I've had another look - there is no metal structure, just carved stone that has been there for centuries and consequently become weathered. Whether or not we rewrite history by faking our photos is an interesting subject. For me, a little light makeup is OK, but no botox! What do other people think?

Nice wheels. However, the view through the window leads my eye away from the main subject. I wonder where it could be...

The shooting angle and the sky background make the wheels really stand out. If you ever find out what it was for, please let me know! High in my favourites.

      Ysal,

I tend to agree with you. However, a quick shot from a phone over a restaurant table can mean that there are not many pixels to share once brought down to the rules of the challenge. Look at it not at full screen but for what it is.

Personally, I like a snapshot of life as it goes on, rather than anything posed in a studio.

Let's celebrate our differences...

I have just seen the pattern! Subtle and effective. Time to change my favourites.

This is an excellent photo. But, where is the pattern?

Clean and concise, definitely in my top ten. There's even room for the advertising slogan! :)

      A. N. Other asked if there were different coloured LEDs in the torch I used. It was a plain white light torch. I got the idea from having used old CDs as bird scarers. It seems that they do not like the spectrum flashing off the recording side of the CD as it swings in the breeze.

Lovely composition. Pity that there are two lighter areas which detract a little from overall effect. However, it is still my number one!

Excellent - lots of detail which could detract but here it balances the very dark frame.

Fits the theme very well. I especially like the frame of trees and the clouds drawing attention to the small balcony. Only improvement - remove the shadows on the building.

Very nice. For me it would look better if the moon was less central.

Good strong diagonals but the abrupt shadow/light on the tree could do with softening

I especially like the hint of something light on the horizon.

Love it! The disrupted airflow over the wings and the landing gear show a mastery of aerodynamics we mere mortals can only dream of. Bravo!
