Thanks for all your comments. It certainly kept me occupied during the current lockdown period since I took a multitude of shots from both sides of the glass and the most difficult part was deciding which image to enter into the challenge, This entry was one of my later efforts

Jade. O, Thanks for your commemnts. This sample is approx. 1/3rd of the whole panel which only measures 15"x39". Not sure what the glass is but I installed it around 40 years ago!

I like the colours and patterns thrown up from the glass. The light area top left distracts a little but good take on the challenge

      Thanks for all your comments.

jomari. I did play around a lot and took umpteen shots from both sides of the glass panel from different angles and in different light conditions.
I did have difficulty in deciding which one to enter. As you say all good fun and kept me out of mischief during this miserable lockdown!

Good take on the challenge well executed. I find myself trying to determine the landscape that is distorted by the facets in the clear glass.

I like your inclusion of flower to give some colour. Sets off the stones nicely. If anything I would have gone for a bit tighter crop but that is my preference Well done.

Good idea but the light pendant is distracting which is a pity but probably unavoidable Also I would have cloned out the other lights outside the frame of the magnifying glass

I'm personally not a fan of manipulated images but must admit this works very well to give an impressive result. I shall have to dig out the help files and give it a go!. One of my favourites inspite of my misgivings.

Nice delicate colours and looks fragile, hope your cat appreciates the VIP treatment!

I appreciate your problem finding a subject during these trying times. I think this could be improved my cropping out some of the dark foreground and sharpening up on your focussing.

Nice sharp image but not too keen on your choice of background which tends to draw my eyes away from the gem.

Great idea, and I love the colours. Just a pity about the reflection from the glass but unavoidable and in my TT.

My first impressions of this abstract was to hate it but then it really starts to attract the interest The vibrant colours and composition held my interest for ages as I scoured the image. Not sure how you achieved the effect but high in my TT if not No 1

Interesting subject but would perhaps been better with some colour and maybe I would haved saved this entry for the new challenge!

Thanks everyone for your comments and I have taken on board the many references to the lack of sharpness. All part of entering the challenge and learning from your mistakes as you go.

He/she looks well miffed! Sort of "how long is this going to take?" I like your composition and the DOF you've employed seems just right for the shot

Fits the challenge well with strong leading lines but lacks a focal point.

Great shot that fits the theme well. I find some of the colours a little garish and artificial looking.

Interesting shapes and patterns and I like your chosen angle. If anything I would have liked the shoreline a tad lighter to reveal more detail but in my TT

One glance at this and I have that totally confused expression trying to work out what leads where and how do I get up to that pillar! That means you're spot on the challenge theme and my top pick

I much prefer this entry to the main one, far less clutter, good leading lines

Nicely composed image that would look even more dramatic against an interesting sky

Very busy scene here with lots going on. I would have cropped out most of the left hand side to the edge of the bridge and also some of the top to simplify the scene and emphasise the view through the bridge. As it is I find too many distractions but you have done well to capture a very difficult scene
