My first choice, we probably split a lot of votes or it would have been higher. Better than mine, I like the kind of sepia tone. Watch out for Irma.

I had to drive 10 hours to get to the region of totality. Had two cameras, an FZ20 with a #14 welders glass on a tripod shooting automatically to get the sun as it approached totality and the ZS45 which was handheld to get the surroundings and then the sun at totality, no filter.

Thank you all for your votes and comments. My original idea was to have everything falling to the floor but that was going to require my wife's help and she refused to dump the stuff on our tile floor.

We had a dog and a cottage when I was a kid. The dog always knew when it was time to go home and would always take a last dip in the lake, and then end up in the back seat of the car with me. I know the smell. Nice capture.

WOW, my reaction when I first saw this. Just checking your past entries and what a fantastic gallery you have. Congratulations.

Thanks for the comments. The camera lens was holding the iris petals open, and if I moved back, the flower would close.

Thanks all for the compliments. I couldn't decide which one to enter though both were taken with my DMC-ZS45 so I went to the open category.

I would have voted you higher if you had chosen a different aspect ratio.

The industrial background distracts rather than enhances.

You should have peeled the sticker off of the bananas. It is distracting.

Excellent focus control, right exposure, (well maybe a wee bit darker) and good interpretation, my number one.

      Happy New Year Old Finn,

Congratulations on an excellent example of maximum field of focus.
